Our film group meets more or less weekly in term time. In 2024 the group will resume on 10th January, for eight meetings, finishing on 6th March, with a break for half term on 14th February.

We watch a film together and then discuss it, looking at its historical and political context, and we also consider its cinematic quality. We have themes for our terms: previous themes have included Hitchcock films, women directors, comedies and European films. Our themes are decided by Alan, who is a retired university lecturer in film studies. He also provides the DVDs which we watch. Please note the change of venue!
